happy thanksgiving!

javi is doing all the cooking. it doesn't feel quite right to not be in the kitchen all day. i hope its good! enjoy the turkey and tofurkey!

Compressors and Production

After 5 days of excessive research into compressors we seem to have possibly, finally, found one. Of course its not for sure yet, and this isn't the first time we've had one in our sights. Tomorow we actually get to go get it. I guess that will be when its for sure.

ooo look at me, i was capitalizing sentences. how unlike me. i get excited and get all gramatically correct.

Production is still in the works. So far so good. Looks like we're going to have broadcast quality training on the day that matters and low fi plus audio on the talking side. Its really nice to have gone to school and met and gotten to know a lot of talented people. Its coming in handy now. Plus, it seems good for my Karma. I think my Karma has a bit more to work off than that though.

yummy is whining for unknown reasons. i have to take my herbs. mom is force feeding me bc i think i may have just forgotten to eat yesterday. all these pills kinda kill my appitite. plus i have to take this wonderful *note the sarcasm* ginseng powder. this is supposed to up my chi. i guess its working. next month will show dr tsing's magic.

video possibilities

we've come to the conclusion that none of us are sufficiently competant to both video our training and learn at the same time. we want our video to be of sufficient quality for us to continue learning from it after the fact. we're entertaining the possibility of hiring a small production company to video our training. i talked to them just now and its going to be a crazy operation, as is everything else. we'll see how the negotiation with them go. we have to draw up our own confidentiality agreement plus some kind of agreement with grancrete inc. i doubt we can afford high quality, but we can go for something. i'll get the guys production company web site posted once we hash out the details.

Yippy Grancrete!

the pace of things has hit FRANTIC! its nice to be back to my old pace of things. i haven't been this busy and productive at something i enjoy since 1999. that was a good year. anyway, we are all sooooo excited about our grancrete adventure! it looks like we're going to be up and running in a jiffy. getting all our ducks in a row has required a bit of polite pushing of the various businesses we have needed to deal with. its not just the haggling and pricing, its the logistics and just plain old communication. its amazing how hard it is to get in touch with people without badgering them if you're running on short notice. as it turns out, i learned how to politely badger people for information at a few other places i've worked.

oooo the realtor finally surfaced. time to go sign and fax since the badgering has ended and communication has been established.

readership

apperantly my readership has increased dramatically. hi walid! perhaps i should be more careful about how i phrase my arbitrary whims to better reflect my actual desires. going to idaho is going to be a good decision for the company. its going to be very financially sound. what i should have said is, too bad i'm stricken with this stupid disease. good thing i have an amazing acupuncturist that has managed to save my life a few times and get me back to functional. too bad i'm going to have to go vegan again come the new year. oh well, that's life. i don't like the cold, but i went to engineering school in new jersey during the worst winters on record. it happens. i don't always get what i want, but i try sometimes, and find, i get what i need.....

grancrete is on

our contract is in the works officially. we are supposed to get a draft tonight. so far, so good. too bad we have to go to idaho for training.

angie is crying bc she doesn't want to go to sleep yet again. she's such a night time girl. william on the other hand is snoring already.

went to acupunture yet again today and it seems like dr tsing thinks i'm nuts to want to go to idaho. the pain is getting better, but i fear it will come back worse next month. i hope the misplaced growth isn't a sign of worse to come.

changing it all up

i think i'm going to stop using frames and just change the rest of my color scheme and link my other pages from the sidebar on my blog. i know all this is terribly entertaining to read. i just feel like i have to justify the sad state of things as they stand. it just won't do.

i can actually walk and not want to throw up all over everything. i don't feel like blacking out, and i am almost tired enough to sleep at only nearing 2am. i have also made a feeble attempt at nanowrimo today, woo woo 12 words. and to save myself the trouble of uploading a small graining pic of me for my blogger profile, i'll just paste it here.... aww hell. as it turns out when you host the blog on your own web space its doesn't neatly upload for you. what a bitch.
oh well. i guess i'll ftp it after all.

its too bad my brain is too fried to work on nanowrimo. looks like another year of failure when i comes to that. if only i could pump out fiction like i pump out useless bullshit.
i have some new video of the kids that is just hilarious to me. i need to upload it. its on the other lap top which is downstairs. stairs are way too hard in this state.
i'm gonna try to get some sleep now.

This was easy

moving to a new blog type again. trying it out and seeing if i can not fuck up this time. i'll work on the colors and such later. i should be wonderfully productive in my useless nonsense this week. i'm in insane pain, can't sleep, can't even lay down comfortable, so this is just a wonderful way to distract myself and not think to hard while sitting up. its far superior to watching tv at 3am or reading which requires more brain activity.
the witch doctor tells me i have endometriosis. i hope like all hell he's wrong, but he rarely is. i now get to take a crazy number of little herbal pills to flush out the evil pain monsters in my belly. they taste like total ass.
my poor mom is taking care of me and the kids. now what?
